Understanding Integration

What is integration?

ERP integration is the synchronisation between your EDI and ERP system. Enabling your business with an industry standard method of exchanging business documents electronically between customers and vendors.

An integrated platform enables you to record and manage high quantities of data and documents in real-time, giving your business better visibility within your supply chain. By linking your ERP/back-office system with your iPAAS solution, you can synchronise key business data which will help to inform business critical decisions.

Why integrate?

Reduction of human errors

If your business is using inadequate and outdated methods of supply chain communication, the burden is often passed on to your staff. By creating a seamless link between your ERP and iPAAS provider, you eradicate the risk of human error and time wasted through manual processing.

Improved management

Integration enables both your iPAAS solution and ERP/BOS solution to work in true synchronicity, as a result, the two will fluidly communicate with each other. Once set up, all data can be managed from one centralised platform offering full visibility of your entire supply chain.

Time and increased productivity

As a business, you will see a dramatic decrease in manual data entry, order & invoice process time. As a result, you will also see increased order fulfilment.

Moving away from dated methodologies

If your company still utilises outdated methods of communication (paper-based management) that are dependent on postal services, you are delaying documents reaching your customers and prolonging payments to your business. Digitalisation of these communications allows you to send crucial documentation to customers within minutes rather than days, meaning you can communicate with your customers almost instantaneously and receive and send payments far quicker.

Maintaining relationships with trading partners

Trading partners have standardised requirements for their procure to pay process. If your business is manually customising partner requirements, inevitably it will slow down your ability to connect and subsequently delay your supply chain.

Through integration, your business can start communicating with trading partners locally and globally, regardless of the EDI communication protocol they utilise. Our integrated platform, NeTIX, translates and transmits all file types into specific EDI standards recognised by your trading partners including:: ASNs, credit notes, invoices and orders.

NeTIX validates  all submitted documents to ensure that orders are following the requirements beset by you and your trading partners. If all the requirements are met, NeTIX will directly push the order straight through to your ERP system. However, if an error occurs in the document you will be notified to rectify the mistake, allowing you to amend mistakes before potentially damaging and slowing customer relationships.
