NetEDI has now surpassed 200 PEPPOL implementations! This means we’ve far outperformed our nearest competitors in the market-place and helped many suppliers and Trusts up and down the country get connected to the PEPPOL network.

It’s thanks to the hard work of our dedicated and expert team that we’ve managed to achieve over 200 implementations and become the number one PEPPOL solution provider for the NHS. Read on to learn more about our work with PEPPOL and what this means for the NHS.

Our Work in PEPPOL Implementation

We’re proud to be part of The Department of Health’s working group for PEPPOL and the selected Access Point and solution provider for NHS Supply Chain.

As part of our work with NHS Supply Chain, we’ve contacted all their suppliers to ensure they are ready to comply with the new rules.

PEPPOL stands for Pan-European Public Procurement Online and it’s a specific standard of electronic messaging. All NHS Trusts and their suppliers need to be part of this one, interoperable, standardised network.

PEPPOL cuts out the need for post, email and the storage of business-to-business documents. Our PEPPOL solutions are tailor-made to fit the requirements of our clients and it’s easy to scale up a solution and add new trading partners. You only need one connection to PEPPOL to trade with any other partner who is also on the network – there’s no extra cost to adding new partners.

We can also seamlessly integrate our solutions with an existing ERP, so PEPPOL messages and accounting information are perfectly in sync.

Why is PEPPOL Important?

Moving over to the PEPPOL network is important, not only to ensure suppliers can continue trading with the NHS, but also to help improve patient care and clinical effectiveness. The real-world benefits include surgical staff being alerted if expired stock is scanned to a patient at the point of care, and product recalls taking far less time to put into effect.
