Back in March, we brought you news of our expansion upstairs, in our office, on King Street. We knew that our rapid business growth would mean we’d need the extra space to accommodate for new members of staff.
Well, that exciting time has come around and we’re really pleased to be welcoming four new starters. As is customary, we’ll have a breakfast club get together, to introduce the newbies to the rest of the team over coffee and croissants. But for now, here’s the lowdown on the new additions to the NetEDI family.
We’re very pleased to welcome Wendy on board, as our new Accounts Manager. Wendy has lots of experience working in accounts for a printing company, and as Accounts Manager for a global sports brand. When she’s not keeping the numbers in order, she’s keeping her hens in order (or trying to), training her dogs and living the steampunk life. But what drew Wendy to NetEDI in the first place?
“I was drawn to NetEDI as, firstly, I love a challenge, and it looks like a company who value their staff and that’s a rare thing in today’s workplace.”
We’re really excited to have Chris joining us, as our new Support Manager. He previously worked in the same role for another EDI company and as a result is quite familiar with how we work already. Chris decided to join us as he could see we’re going from strength to strength.
“I’m really excited to be coming on board as the new Support Manager and to build on the great work you guys have already accomplished.”
Aside from work, Chris is a huge sports enthusiast and plays squash once a week and football twice a week. As if that wasn’t enough, he also coaches an under 16 football team, who he recently took to Amsterdam for a friendly. They won 3-8!
In his downtime, you can find Chris passionately supporting his team, Manchester United, (especially when they beat Spurs).
At NetEDI, we always look for the opportunity to develop new talent, so we’re very happy to welcome Lewis to the team, fresh from university. Steve, one of our directors, was so impressed by Lewis’ dissertation demonstration that he invited him to come down to the office to see how we work.
“I really liked the laid-back, friendly atmosphere and it seemed like a great place to grow professionally. Being given the chance to start the job before I’d even graduated gave me a lot of confidence and belief in myself.”
On his days off, you can find Lewis playing the guitar, watching football or at the gym.
We always want to make sure that our team has the technical support they need, especially during phases of expansion. Andy is joining us as our new Systems and Security Specialist, after working for a Manchester based Fintech software house and garnering many years’ experience, as an IT and Network Manager.
“I’ve had a great first few days and everyone here is really friendly, I’m really looking forward to getting to know everyone.”
When Andy isn’t making sure our systems are as secure and efficient as possible, he’ll be spending his time rambling around the sleepy village he calls home and converting his VW Transporter into a campervan.
Trust and Cooperation
The working culture at NetEDI is one of trust and cooperation. So, when it comes to recruitment, we’re always looking for the best of the best – people who embody our values and can make a great contribution to working life.
“As the business continues to expand, it’s important that we hire employees that are a good fit and can make a difference. We think our latest recruits will further strengthen our skill set and experience and help us to build on our position as a leading B2B Service Provider.”
John Myerscough, Director.
