NetEDI achieves AS4 Certification
From 1 February 2020, all certified Peppol Service Providers will be required to adhere to using AS4 as the mandated communication protocol. NetEDI are one of a small number of UK Access Point providers with AS4 certification, meaning our customers will continue to trade openly, securely and easily throughout their supply chain.
What is AS4 certification?
AS4 is an industry-standard certification and offers a large number of features and benefits which directly impact your business. NetEDI’s AS4-compliant solutions will empower your business with the below:
- Secure message encryption enabling the latest online security protocol
- Bi-directional push/pull messaging creating the ability to exchange multiple payloads within a communication
The main objective of the project AS4EDI is to promote the use of the eDelivery DSI (Digital Service Infrastructure) amongst both private and public entities by integrating the AS4 protocol into six certified PEPPOL Access Points and their respective Service Metadata Publishers (SMP).
This Action covers the transition from AS2 to AS4 profile in each Access Point of the Consortium members, as well as the upgrade and deployment of their respective SMP. As a result, a large number of European entities that are already using eDelivery services provided by the members of the AS4EDI consortium will have access to the cross-border exchange of electronic documents, according to the technical specification of the EU Core Service Platform, based on eDelivery AS4 Profile.
Is your Peppol Provider AS4 certified?
It’s important that your business is aware of your Access Point Provider’s AS4 status, as these new requirements may have an impact on the future of your trading. Many Providers are struggling to meet this deadline and as a result, your supply chain may be impacted.
Future-proof your business
This latest certification further cements NetEDI’s status as the UK’s leading PEPPOL Access Point provider. NetEDI are the NHS Supply Chain’s Access Point provider of choice and as such, we’re pioneering change within the industry by creating future-proof solutions in line with the NHS and OpenPeppol.
From May of this year, MDR regulations will stipulate that Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs) will be compulsory within the NHS Supply Chain. NetEDI are the only UK supplier who can facilitate this with scalable and adaptable solutions which grow as your business does.
