Our platform is powerful, cloud-based and completely secure. Our in-house tech team is constantly monitoring our platform, fine-tuning it for optimum performance. Our customers never have to worry about updating anything themselves and we can respond to any threats as and when they arise. We have a ‘no single point of failure’ approach and our platform is housed in Europe’s largest and most reliable, purpose-built data centre. We create daily incremental back-ups and full weekly back-ups.
And what if there’s a hardware problem? It’s important to remember that this is highly unlikely to happen in the first place, but if it did, we’re ready for it. We store any changes we make in more than one place so if there’s a hardware problem, another server will pick up the workload straight away.
NetEDI and GDPR
GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation and refers to a recent regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individual citizens of the European Economic Area. At NetEDI, we are fully aware and compliant when it comes to GDPR and we’re committed to ensuring the security of all the personal data that we handle.
We will have to process personal data in order to carry out the role we have been instructed to undertake by our customers, but we will never process data in a way that is unnecessary and goes beyond that. We will also keep a record of all the processing of data that we do.
Personal data is only kept on file for as long as we need it, for example, for the purposes of contract performance, compliance, record-keeping, reporting and insurance in accordance with our retention policy. Once the retention policies have expired, or upon our customer’s request, we will erase or anonymise any personal data relating to a data subject.
We work hard to make sure that our solutions are as easy to use and as effective as possible for our clients. A big part of that is our ability to integrate NeTIX with our clients’ existing ERP systems so they can see all their essential business data on one platform.
We establish a connection between our software and your existing ERP software using API technology (Application Programme Interface). APIs provide a way for programs to communicate with each other in real-time. Part of your back-office system is left ‘open’ so that we can retrieve information.
It’s important to remember that there are different types of APIs and that the type we use is completely private and secure and doesn’t make your back-office information available anywhere else. Disaster Response and Recovery
We understand the importance of keeping a business operational during downtime in order to protect it from long term damage and loss. We provide both high availability and disaster recovery – both key components in meeting modern business standards. In this context high availability means the system can remain accessible in the event of a component in the system failing. Disaster recovery is the process that we follow to get the system back to its original state after either a man-made or natural disaster.
