Empowering NHS Supply Chain in uncertain times
By Steve Moore,
Head of Healthcare Development
It will come as no surprise that the current outbreak of COVID-19 is unprecedented and will have a significant impact on businesses of all sizes, which is why I wanted to reach out and inform you of how we are supporting suppliers and NHS Trusts alike.
In line with the recently issued Procurement Policy Note – Supplier relief due to COVID-19 (PPN 02/20) from the Cabinet Office, many Trusts are reviewing their payment processes with the aim of accelerating payment of supplier invoices.
Optimise your Supply Chain
Introducing an electronic purchase to pay process via the Peppol network for the transmission of purchase orders and receipt of invoices will increase invoice match rates and facilitate prompt supplier payments.
The introduction of Peppol supports the Department of Health’s eProcurement strategy where NHS acute, foundation and non-foundation trusts are required to develop and commence implementation of a Trust board approved GS1 and Peppol adoption plan.
How we can help
As the UK’s number 1 Peppol & AS4 accredited access point provider, NetEDI can offer an electronic e-trading platform that can be integrated into your back-office systems for fast, secure transmission of all your business to business documents.
