We’re fully committed to ensuring the safety of our clients’ data. That’s why we’re very happy to report that we’ve achieved the gold standard in cyber security, by gaining a Cyber Essentials Plus Certification.
Back in February 2017, we were pleased to report our certification by the Government’s Cyber Essentials Scheme. Going a step further and gaining a Cyber Essentials Plus Certification means we’ve still got the full Cyber Essentials certificate, but we’ve also undergone an additional internal scan and on-site assessment.
This extra certification shows we’re taking every security precaution possible and our customers can rest assured that their data is in safe hands.
What is Cyber Essentials?
Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed and industry-supported scheme that guides businesses in protecting themselves against cyber threats. This type of certification is particularly useful if a company allows its employees to work remotely or has IT equipment in a shared office environment.
There are several reasons why it’s important to be a part of the Cyber Essentials Scheme. The scheme can potentially protect you against 80% of cyber-attacks, according to the UK Government, through five different security controls. It concentrates on five key controls:
- Boundary firewalls and internet gateways
- Secure configuration
- Access control
- Malware protection
- Patch management
We take the trust our clients place in us very seriously. Our Managing Director, Steve Martin remarked “We are keen to show our customers that we take the threat of cyber security seriously and take all the precautions we can in ensuring the organisation is protected against common cyber threats”.
As time goes on, our expert technical team will continue to make sure our systems are up to the challenge of defending against the changing face of cyber threats.
