Here at NetEDI, we never miss an opportunity to support a great charity and everyone was gathered round for the ceremonial shaving, smartphones at the ready! The team dug deep, and we’re proud to say we smashed our £500 fundraising target!
At the end of what we began to call ‘The Big Shave’, our brave developer looked quite different (and far less likely to be caught shimmying down chimneys on Christmas Eve.) We’re very proud of his efforts, as Macmillan are only able to carry on doing the great work they do because of fundraisers and the generosity of individuals who choose to donate. Let’s learn a little more about Macmillan and the support they provide.
Macmillan Cancer Support was established in 1911 and is now the UK’s leading source of cancer support. Their ambition is to improve the quality of life of everyone who is suffering from cancer and to raise awareness and understanding of how the disease can affect someone’s life.
Macmillan aims to support cancer sufferers and their loved ones in every aspect of life. Their practical support and guidance can help people understand the facts about the disease and how to manage everyday issues like money, work and travel. But as well as the practical side of things, Macmillan are also there to provide the emotional support and understanding that’s so vital for anyone battling this disease. They’re a trusted source of information and a hand to hold, through what might be the most challenging period of someone’s life.
Help us Support Macmillan
Just because the beard has gone doesn’t mean that the opportunity to donate has. If you want to join our list of generous donators, we’d be so grateful. Just follow this link to donate now and remember that no amount is too small. And a very big thank you indeed from our beardless developer and the whole team at NetEDI, if you’ve already donated to the cause.
